Project Streams of Blessing
God's Love Flowing to those in need….
by Jackie Nelson, Project Coordinator
“Streams of Blessings” reaches out to the elderly and aged Jewish people from many walks of life. We also assist other organizations who help the needy. At least 800,000 children are living in a state of deficiency. Many of these depend on special homes that are available throughout Israel. Your help makes it possible to bless them through Christian action.
One of our priorities is visitng WWII (Red Army) War Veterans. These once Jewish Russian soldiers who fought against Hitler have many needs. The most important is to comfort those who are lonely. Through personal home visits and larger events, we build relationships and demonstrate the love of God (in a way they have never known) and the way Christians should have always acted. When visiting, we pay careful attention to needs they have but may be reluctant to ask or request. We share with them that many Christians from all over the world love them and truly care for their wellbeing.
A growing number of the religous Jews are requesting assistance. Having large families with rising living costs, this often neglected community is being challenged to meet the demands of everyday life in Jerusalem. About one-quarter of families in Israel live below the poverty line. With your contributions to CFI, we are able to help ease their stress through mercy and compassion.
Requests for help come to CFI’s “Streams of Blessing” department every week for food, blankets, heaters, and financial help with rent or utilities, as well as medical expenses. Relationships are a primary goal in our work as we hope to undo damage done to the Jewish people by historical Christianity in the name of Christ. Each case is carefully considered. Once the need is established, we not only assist, but follow up with regular home visits. We are making a difference.
Thank you for partnering with us to show His love to those God has brought home from the nations.
